Vosloorus, South Africa — Police in Vosloorus are investigating a case of alleged attempted murder involving a man identified as Brown Mokgotsi, which took place in Extension 25 near the N3 highway.
According to early reports, the incident occurred late Monday evening, when residents in the area heard gunshots and alerted authorities. Upon arrival, police found a man believed to be Mokgotsi suffering from serious injuries consistent with an attack.
Emergency services were called to the scene, and Mokgotsi was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment. His current condition has not yet been disclosed.
Gauteng police spokesperson, Sgt. Thembi Nkosi, confirmed that a case of attempted murder is under active investigation. “We are gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to establish the motive and identify those responsible for the attack,” Nkosi said.
Police have cordoned off the area while forensic teams combed the scene for clues. Residents described the area near the N3 as “usually quiet,” saying they were shocked by the violence.
