The event saw teams from various regions come together in the U13, U15, and U17 age groups, all eager to compete and make their mark on the soccer scene. The primary objective of the tournament was to encourage young boys to engage in the sport and provide them with the platform to demonstrate their talents.
"We hosted the tournament as a way of blending and witnessing different soccer talents among children and different teams," said coach Ayabonga Nxumalo. "This is about developing the next generation of soccer players and giving them the opportunity to be seen by coaches and scouts who might help further their careers."
The tournament was a hit among the local community, drawing in passionate fans who cheered on their teams and supported the young players every step of the way. With competitive matches across all age groups, the players demonstrated not only their technical skills but also their commitment, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
The coaches were pleased with the level of competition and the spirit in which the tournament was played. "It's inspiring to see how much talent there is in the community," said Coach Mpapea.
