Polokwane, South Africa — Popular Limpopo musician Shebeshxt — real name Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke — is currently facing a series of serious criminal charges that have captured widespread public and media attention. The 30-year-old artist remains in custody after the Polokwane Magistrates’ Court denied his bail, and he is expected to stay behind bars until at least February 2026 as his legal proceedings continue.
According to court records and prosecuting authorities, Shebeshxt is confronting a comprehensive list of allegations stemming primarily from an incident that took place on October 19, 2025, in Ladanna, Polokwane. The charges include:
•Three counts of attempted murder
•Robbery with aggravating circumstances
•Assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm
•Malicious damage to property
•Discharge of a firearm
•Possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition
The case arose from an alleged confrontation where Shebeshxt is accused of discharging a firearm at two men who had approached him in their vehicle, injuring at least one victim who was later hospitalised.
