🚨 QUICK REMINDER: Manchester United Want £40m–£50m for Kobbie Mainoo

Manchester United are reportedly setting a significant price tag on young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo as transfer interest builds from several clubs across Europe.

According to recent market assessments, United would be willing to consider an exit for Mainoo only if they receive an “exceptional offer” in the region of £40m–£50m, a figure that aligns with multiple late-2025 transfer valuations for the England international.

Why the Valuation Matters

Mainoo — a product of United’s famed academy — has attracted attention due to his technical ability, creativity, and versatility in midfield. Although he hasn’t been a regular starter under manager Rúben Amorim this season, his potential and England appearances have sparked interest from clubs looking to bolster their midfield options.

Reports suggest that prospective buyers such as Real Madrid have made initial enquiries but balked at higher valuations. In one account, Madrid were unwilling to go above roughly £44m, while United’s stance has been to seek closer to or above that £40m-£50m bracket.

Current Club Position

Despite the transfer speculation, Manchester United’s hierarchy hasn’t publicly committed to selling the 20-year-old — especially with his contract still running and the club seeing future value in keeping homegrown talent. However, should the right offer arrive in January or the summer window, United appear prepared to negotiate accordingly rather than let the situation stagnate.

For Mainoo, this transfer talk comes amid questions about his role under Amorim, limited playing time this season, and his own ambition to secure consistent first-team minutes — factors that could influence any decision whether he stays at Old Trafford or moves on to fulfil his potential elsewhere.
